The Ward Village community is a diverse blend of entrepreneurs, students, artists, families, and more.
They're trendsetters and tastemakers, visiting and helping to define a neighborhood of creativity and collaboration. We want to share their stories.
Luckily, our friends at GoPro gave us the perfect opportunity. We gave cameras to twelve different Ward Village regulars--shopkeepers, construction workers, bartenders, fashion designers, engineers--to see how they live, work, and play in the neighborhood. What resulted are a series of inspiring videos that offer a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the Ward Village experience.
Explore women's boutique Eden In Love with owners Tanna Dang and Alyssa Nakao as they showcase their local wares and share thoughts on what they love best about being part of the Ward Village community. Or visit Cookspace's Megan Tomino at the Honolulu Fish Auction, where they're assembling fresh local seafood for culinary classes at their space in Ward Warehouse. Join Nordic PCL Health Safety Environmental Coordinator Nathan Lutz at the construction site for the upcoming Waiea Tower as he supervises the team pour concrete, lay rebar, and create carpentry for the project.
Ward Village is growing every day; each and every person who spends time here is a part of this developing community. After enjoying these videos, we invite you to share your stories, experiences, and inspirations! Use the hashtag #WeAreWard to tell your tale and to connect with others in the community.
