Welcome To The Most Social Locales In Ward Village

Point, pose, click, and watch the likes rain down. Yes, we're talkin' social media. More specifically, we're talking about the most Instagrammable and Facebook post-worthy destinations in Ward Village.

Between the dozens of mouth-watering restaurants offering drool-inducing dishes, the artistic backdrops, and the beautiful architecture, Ward Village is holding the goods when it comes to building out an Instagram post or Facebook story. To make your next post even easier, we've outlined some of our favorite destinations below. Happy hunting and be sure to add your perspective to the collection by posting to #WeAreWard.

The IBM Building, 1240 Ala Moana Boulevard

As a landmark destination built by one of the state's most esteemed architects, it's easy to see why people are so endeared with the IBM Building. Not only is Vladimir Ossipof's IBM Building one of Ward Village's most Instagrammable destination, but it's also an architectural wonder. Plus, with the interchanging light displays tied to holidays and global events, the building feels more akin to an art installation than an office building.

Risk Aloha Mural, 959 Queen Street

As part of the POW! WOW! worldwide exhibit, famous street artist Risk emblazoned this captivating mural on Queen Street in 2016. In the ensuing year, photos of this mural have popped up on thousands of feeds worldwide, reinforcing the positive impact that art in public places can have on shaping a community.

Lucy's Lab, South Shore Market, 1170 Auahi Street

Who among us doesn't swoon over a delicious food shot? And when it comes to photos that fall under #yum, is there anything sweeter than a tried and trusted ice cream shot from Lucy's Lab? You know the photo: colorful backdrop, crispy cone topped with smooth, buttery ice cream, coated in a colorful mix of toppings. Yep, it's easy to see why so many of us are sweet on this shot—it's Instagram gold!

Zhan Wang, 1108 Auahi Street

With its liquid lines and slippery sheen, the modern art installation standing vigil over Anaha has served as a focal point since its installation earlier this year. Created by famed Chinese artist Zhan Wang, the piece, which mimics a large boulder cut from stainless steel, is a part of Wang's Artificial Rock series and is sure to set your feed ablaze. #ZhanWang

Anaha Living Wall, 1108 Auahi Street

Did you know that the state's longest living wall skirts the newly opened Anaha residential tower? Composed of thousands of more than 8,000 plants stretching 80 feet wide by 15 feet tall, this installation, created by the team at First Look Exteriors has clearly caught the eye of the city. Because it requires continued maintenance, the living wall is constantly changing, making it an ever-evolving work of art and more than worthy of your lens.

What Lifts You? South Shore Market, 1170 Auahi St

Located inside South Shore Market, throngs of us have posed in front of this uplifting and interactive mural from Kelsey Montague. This piece in Ward Village is the first from the artist and is part of the What Lifts You series, which also includes pieces in New York City and New Zealand.
