Kona Nui Nights honors and highlights Hawaiian language, music, and the art of hula. Join us for a free monthly event held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month.
This month’s event features Halau o Ke ‘AʻaIiʻi Ku Makani and performers, Hoʻokena, (“The Original” Horace Dudoit, Chris Kamaka, Glen Smith, Manu Boyd, and William Aarona).
Since 1986 Hoʻokena has produced 12 CDs and won numerous music awards. Their latest CD, “Hoʻokena 3.0” was released on May 14, 2017 and commemorates their 30th anniversary.
The event starts at 6:00 pm and the doors will open at 5:30 pm. If you are hungry before or after the show, be sure to stop by one of the fantastic Ward Village restaurants. If you do not have tickets, there will be a standby line that will be able to enter at 6:00 pm.
**Lawn chairs will not be permitted. A limited number of chairs will be available for those who do not wish to sit on the ground. Bring your favorite mat or blanket to enjoy the movie**
Free parking is available at the Ward Ave Parking Garage and Ward Entertainment Center Parking Garage.
