Due to possible hurricane weather, the tournament has been rescheduled to September 8, 2018. For any teams that signed up to participate prior to the date change, we will issue a full refund if your team can no longer participate. For registrations made after the date change, the existing refund policy will apply.

Kewalo has a history rooted in the art of fishing, and was traditionally the heart of a bustling fishing village in Kaka'ako. On June 10, 1970, the largest marlin caught rod-and-reel in the world was caught by Captain Cornelius Choy off of Kewalo Harbor, weighing in at 1,805 pounds. The marlin was dubbed "Choy's Monster" and continues to hold the record today. In honor of Choy's Monster, Kewalo Harbor introduces the Kewalo Harbor Big Fish Chase. The base entry will be split evenly among the largest marlin, ahi, ono and mahimahi and the guaranteed $10,000 purse is split amongst the largest marlin, ahi, ono, and mahimahi.

how to enter

To enter your team in the Kewalo Big Fish Chase, click on the green "Tickets" button at the top of the Eventbrite RSVP page.

To pay via credit or debit card, choose the option under "Payment Type." You will then be prompted to enter your information.

To pay via check, choose the option under "Payment Type." You can mail or walk-in your check payment to:

Once registered and payment has been received, we will send additional documentation and forms to finalize your team participation and provide a detailed schedule of events.

If you'd like to register in person, you can do so by going to the Harbor Master's office at 1125 Ala Moana Blvd.
