New Wave Friday at South Shore Market

Sometimes, it feels as if Friday afternoon couldn't come soon enough.

What you need to kickstart the weekend is a drink (maybe two). If it's retail therapy you're yearning for, you're in luck. And if it's live entertainment that helps you unwind after a long week, we've got you covered on that front too! We've truly got it all and more at our soon-to-debut monthly event, New Wave Fridays, held at South Shore Market.

New Wave Fridays, held on the second Friday of every month, is the ultimate pau hana get-down in Honolulu. Mark your calendars for Friday, April 14th, the first of many New Wave Fridays, and get ready to blow up your insta feed, because you're going to have fun!

"I'm really excited for this night and I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone come out," says Aly Ishikuni-Sasaki, owner of the boutique MORI and founder of Art + Flea. "It's going to be a really cool night and I'm thrilled to bring Art + Flea back to Ward Village. If you like supporting local designers and businesses, I think you're going to have a lot of fun at the New Wave Fridays."

Napali Souza, owner of the ultra-hip menswear brand Salvage Public

, echoed Aly's excitement. "Everyone here at Salvage Public is really psyched for the event and we're looking forward to doing new creative mixers each month. For this first event, we're going to be showcasing a movie about one of our friends, Toots, who's a phenomenally talented surfer and shapes the boards we sell in the store. We'll have a talk story session as well and some specials on offer for customers who want to come out."
