New Local Eateries Spring Up at Ward Village®

Ward Village Welcomes Ginza Sushi, BRUE BAR, AGU Ramen, and Bellini Bistro & Bar

HONOLULU (April 22, 2015) – Ward Village®, a community by The Howard Hughes Corporation® (NYSE: HHC) today announced several new merchants that will open at the property this spring. Joining Ward Village's 'ohana of over 135 shops and eateries are Ginza Sushi, Bellini Bistro and Bar, AGU Ramen, and BRUE BAR.

"For decades, Ward Village has dedicated itself to helping locally-owned small businesses grow and thrive in our community," said Katie Kaʻanapu, Director of Community and Retail Marketing at Ward Village. "We look forward to introducing these tasty and exciting dining options to our shoppers and guests at Ward Village this spring."

The line-up of new eateries includes Bellini Bistro and Bar, a 1,984 square-foot restaurant that will be the second restaurant for local entrepreneur Maile Sengoura.

"I'm thrilled to introduce my special take on Italian food with my new restaurant, Bellini Bistro and Bar at Ward Village," said Maile Sengoura, owner of Bellini Bistro and Bar. "Ward Village is the perfect location for local business owners such as myself to expand my offerings and grow my business in Hawai'i."

The following new merchants will open for business at Ward Village in the coming months:

Ginza Sushi (Opened April 2015): The owners of Ninja Sushi at Ward Village recently renovated and reopened their 1,176 square-foot space as Ginza Sushi, a new casual dine-in Japanese restaurant at Ward Centre next to Crazy Shirts Outlet. The restaurant is operated by owners Russell and Chong Won who together have a combined experience of over 30 years in the Japanese restaurant industry. Ginza Sushi offers a wide variety of teishoku, combo meal, donburi, salad, udon, sushi and sashimi and will also offer alcohol service. The restaurant is open 10:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

  • BRUE BAR at The Wedding Café (Opened April 2015): Those in need of a caffeine fix while shopping can now get their relief at BRUE BAR, located inside The Wedding Café, which recently relocated from its shared location with Eden in Love to its new spot between Novel-T World and Sunglass Hut at Ward Warehouse. BRUE BAR is popular for their espressos and their array of locally-roasted coffee beans to choose from. The café also features Alpha Dominche Steampunk Espresso machines that allow for the customization of the brewing process for each roast. BRUE BAR is open 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily.
  • AGU Ramen (May 2015): Ramen enthusiasts can soon enjoy crowd favorite AGU Ramen at its second location at Ward Centre next to Kua'aina Sandwich. Offerings at the 1,300 square-foot location will include Okinawan style dishes featuring AGU's signature creamy, hearty tonkatsu broth. The diverse
  • menu, created by Hisashi Uehara, combines the traditional foundations of Japanese cuisine while incorporating local favorites and western influences. The restaurant will be open from 11:00 a.m. to midnight daily.
  • Bellini Bistro and Bar (May 2015): Foodies who love Italian cuisine will be able to get their cravings satisfied at Bellini Bistro and Bar, located at Ward Centre next to ZPizza. The 1,984 square-foot restaurant is the latest project from entrepreneur Maile Sengoura, owner of popular local favorite Maile's Thai Bistro at Hawai'i Kai Towne Center. With flavors prepared by Chef Dave Nguyen, guests will experience authentic Italian recipes with a local flair. Bellini will feature imported meats, cheeses and pastas direct from Italy and menu items such as oxtail osso buco, fresh fish piccata and tiramisu. The eatery will also feature a full service bar with a selection of great wines and spirits.

With just over 4,000 parking stalls throughout Ward Village, free parking is within easy walking distance of all merchants center-wide. Ward Village includes valet and standard parking options, including the new seven-floor parking structure featuring over 700 stalls at the Ward Village Shops. Free valet is available at Ward Entertainment Center on Fridays, 4:00 p.m.-midnight, Saturdays, 10:30 a.m.-midnight, and Sundays, 10:30 a.m.-9:00 p.m.
