Ward Village yogo in the park

At Ward Village, we want to enhance and enrich the lives of everyone who comes into contact with our neighborhood. Our mission is to honor the unique spirit of this special place and the people who live here, now and in the future, by creating a sustainable, balanced environment that connects people, mind, body, and soul.

Pedestrian Friendly

It’s all within walking distance. Ward Village’s master-planned community was designed with expansive sidewalks, dedicated bike lanes, and green open spaces to make it pedestrian-friendly. In fact, Ward Village has been awarded the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Neighborhood Development Platinum Certification, by the U.S. Green Building Council, the highest rating possible. Ward Village also partners with Biki, providing bike share stations from Ward Village to Ala Moana Beach Park, Diamond Head, Chinatown and everywhere in between.

Victoria Ward Park

Prior to the park’s development, the land served as a former commercial and industrial site. Today, warehouses and pavement have given way to over an acre of lush grass, native plants and a grove of coconut trees reminiscent of the original Ward Estate. Victoria Ward Park represents the dedication of the Ward Village team to preserving original elements of Ward’s legacy, a guiding vision to create a modern-day haven in the urban core of Honolulu. The park serves as home to ongoing, free community events, including an outdoor cinema series, an outdoor fitness program, yoga, live Hawaiian music and hula, a farmers market, and holiday activities for family and friends to enjoy.

Fitness Classes

Ward Village hosts free health and fitness classes open to the entire community. This includes our popular, weekly Yoga in the Park and our Fitness in the Park which offers an hour of High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) incorporating strength, core, and metabolic conditioning every Tuesday and Saturday.
