Auahi Street Improvements

Now underway, the Auahi Street improvements will create nearly eight acres of pedestrian-friendly space, including a reimagined streetscape that improves walkability through wider sidewalks, and abundant, shade-producing foliage. This will strengthen connectivity between people and place by incorporating open public spaces, parks and playgrounds with commercial, dining, and retail experiences.

Future Park Space

Ward Village’s future plans include the addition of welcoming walkways, playgrounds, and parks, including the transformation of Victoria Ward Park. The park, which will expand mauka and makai (currently under development), will offer over three acres of recreational lawns and gathering places for the community’s enjoyment. Ulana Ward Village will add open green space to the neighborhood through the creation of a new public park and children’s play area, enhancing the community connectivity and quality lifestyle of Ward Village.

Ala Moana Elevated Walkway

Connecting Ala Moana Beach Park and Kewalo Harbor to urban Honolulu, this future-planned elevated walkway will enhance community connectivity and quality of life for residents and visitors.

The Ala Moana Boulevard Pedestrian overpass (“overpass”) is a State of Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation (“State DOT”) safety project estimated to be completed in Summer 2024. This mauka-makai oriented land bridge will link the paths on either side of Ala Moana Boulevard to provide pedestrians and bicyclists a safer way to cross Ala Moana Boulevard. Victoria Ward, Limited donated the land for the project and financially contributed to the bridge design and environmental documentation. The State DOT is responsible for the construction and completion of the overpass. The Ward Village Owners Association, the Ward Village master community association, will be responsible for the management, maintenance and upkeep of the overpass and any costs associated therewith. Victoria Ward, Limited makes no guarantee, representation or warranty whatsoever that the renderings or the overpass will ultimately be constructed as shown.
