Auahi Street Improvements

The Auahi Street improvements that are now underway will create nearly eight acres of pedestrian-friendly space, including a reimagined streetscape featuring wider sidewalks, and abundant, shade-producing foliage. We’re further incorporating open public spaces, parks and playgrounds with commercial, dining, and retail experiences to strengthen connectivity between people and place.

A tall modern building with a lower section, surrounded by landscaped gardens and trees, is located at a street intersection near a large body of water under a clear sky.

Future Park Space

Planned for the corner of Ala Moana Boulevard and Kamake‘e Street, Ka Lei Park will add one-acre of public green space that complements the 3.5-acre Victoria Ward Park and Ka La‘i o Kukuluāe‘o Park, located adjacent to Ulana Ward Village. Together, these spaces advance the activation of Auahi Street with streetscape enhancements and shops and restaurants that create a lively, mixed-use, indoor/outdoor environment.
