CorePower Yoga Is Officially At Ward Village
Especially all of you Honolulu residents in the Ward area who are now just a downward-facing-dog's pose away from CorePower Yoga's new studios at Ward Village. Because, yes, CorePower should be something of a work out, but getting to a space with more-than-qualified instructors and first-rate amenities shouldn't be.
Opened less than two months ago, this Auahi Street location (on the north side between Queen and Kamakeʻe), is becoming a go-to oasis for yoga newbies and veterans alike, a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu. Swing by any day of the week to check out a group session that fits into whichever technical level you may find yourself at.
"Yoga can be intimidating for new students, we see this a lot!" says Lia Catanzaro, studio assistant at CorePower Yoga Ward.
The most common thing we hear is 'I'm not flexible enough to do yoga,' which is the exact reason to start a yoga practice. Hitting your yoga mat works your flexibility, strength and gives you a boost of endorphins.
She specifically recommends the studio's beginner class called C1. "This class is great for all levels of practitioners since it gives you a solid foundation in the style of yoga we practice here—power vinyasa, also known as 'flow,' where we link one breath to one movement," she explains. "Although it is unheated, be prepared to sweat! Many people come to yoga for the physical aspect but soon realize that there are great mental benefits to it as well. Our goal is for you to leave empowered in both body and mind and ready to take on your day!"
With hours of operation from 6am to 10pm (hours change slightly depending on the classes offered, so double check regularly!), CorePower Yoga's extensive course list is more flexible than the most seasoned of yogis, doing its best to accommodate all personal schedules. It's their most central location yet featuring the same friendly and familiar instructors from their first studio on the east side, now with an even larger retail section for every essential and last-minute equipment need. Like we said, finding your new daily yoga space shouldn't be a stressful endeavor.
