INPEACE’S EXHIBIT Kaulana Mahina: Look Up, Look Down, Look All Around!
Overview
Native Hawaiians have long practiced scientific observations around the moon phases and this exhibit inspires to transform your daily routines to align with the Kaulana Mahina (Position of the Moon). This interactive installation in Ward Centre is an opportunity for all ages to learn how the Mahina (Moon) phases affect environmental activities including fishing and planting. As this exhibit aims to inspire the next generation of scientists, come observe and learn about our culture’s scientific applications and expand the process of your own routines through incorporating traditional methods.
