A Day on the Land

On April 2, Ward Village participated in “A Day on the Land” coordinated by The Trust for Public Land. The day consisted of volunteers gathering to support and help remove invasive plants and species in Hāwea Heiau and Keawāwa Wetland, which is of cultural significance, nestled in Hawai‘i Kai. Participants had the opportunity to learn about this special place and gain a firsthand look at its many unique wonders, from petroglyphs to a heiau to one of the oldest niu groves on O‘ahu.
